Meet the Team
Director, Workforce Solutions
Sue Matis has more than 30 years of experience in human resources, including 20 years as an executive. Her experience in the field is broad, and her passion is leadership and management development as well as conflict resolution.
A native of Loyal, Wisconsin, Sue worked for a major hospitality firm in Chicago before moving back to Wisconsin and becoming owner of Fanny’s Supper Club in Neillsville. She started in human resources at Ministry Health Care, and worked in HR for St. Joseph’s Hospital, River Valley Bank, North Central Health Care and others. She and her husband live on 100 acres in Mosinee, and enjoys riding her Harley or going out in the pontoon. They have three adult children. Sue founded Workforce Solutions in 2019
Lisa has over 20 years of human resource experience as a generalist. Her experience has been working as the sole HR practitioner in the organizations that she has served.
Lisa is currently the Village President for the Village of Rock Springs and has served in this capacity for over 8 years and had served the prior 8 years as a Village Board Trustee.
Lisa has a BS in Human Resource Management with minors in Accounting and Business Mid-Management. She started her career in human resources at Vierbicher Associates as a Payroll/Benefits Administrator and worked her way up to Human Resources Manager. She also worked in HR for Accelerated Genetics as their first HR Director and transitioned to MBE CPAs as their first Director of Human Resources/Firm Administrator and still serves them as a consultant in that role today. She also was co-owner of L&S Enterprises Concrete LLC and served as the Office Manager for over 10 years.
Lisa is married to her husband, Shane, and they have a son, Zachary. They enjoy going to their cabin at Rosenthal’s Resort on Webb Lake, where they can go fishing and pontooning.
Senior HR consultant
Jim McDonnell has spent his entire career working in various segments of the pulp and paper industry as well as manufacturing. Jim’s management experience began with line management and extended to vice president of human resources. He has experience with union and non-union work environments, contract negotiations and administration, performance management, policy development, recruitment and benefit administration.
Jim is married to his wife Kathy and has two children and five grandchildren.

Christine has 20 years of human resources experience specializing in small to mid-size businesses, providing guidance and leadership to human resource departments and senior management teams. Most recently Christine managed a team of HR professionals working with businesses to provide HR assistance from onboarding to termination, providing compliance and mitigating potential risk. She is married to her husband, Dan, and they have two children. In Christine’s free time, she enjoys boating and spending time with family and friends.
